A Few Words About Us

Lisa Moore is a local Licensed Independent Insurance Broker specializing in Medicare insurance benefits. She is a resident of the St. Pete community and actively participates in clubs, events and programs. Lisa established Moore Insurance Options to assist individuals (neighbors) and families (friends) with navigating their Medicare insurance options. The goal of Moore Insurance Options is to help individuals and families understand Medicare and not just enrollment in a plan. We provide help and support to all our clients starting with understanding when and how to apply for Original Medicare, finding Medicare plan options that best meet your needs and continuing to provide support as needs change or questions come up regarding Medicare, benefits and options.

medicare part a

Medicare Part A (hospital insurance) helps pay for inpatient care in a hospital or limited time at a skilled nursing facility (following a hospital stay). Part A also pays for some home health care and hospice care. Most people age 65 or older are eligible for free medical hospital insurance (Part A) if they have worked and paid Medicare taxes long enough.

medicare part d

Medicare Part D (Medicare prescription drug coverage) helps cover the cost of prescription drugs. They are available through Medicare-approved Private companies. Once an individual has enrolled in Medicare Part A and/or Medicare Part B, they are required to carry creditable prescription drug coverage to avoid a Part B penalty.

medicare part b

Medicare Part B (medical insurance) helps pay for services from doctors and other health care providers, outpatient care, home health care, durable medical equipment, and some preventive services. You can enroll in Medicare medical insurance (Part B) by paying a monthly premium. Some beneficiaries with higher incomes will pay a higher monthly Part B premium. (IRMAA)

SUPPLEMENTAL (medigap) Policies

Supplemental (Medigap) policies help pay Medicare out-of-pocket copayment, coinsurance, and deductible expenses after Medicare has paid a claim under Part A or Part B of Medicare.

medicare advantage plan

Medicare Advantage Plan (also known as Part C) includes all benefits and services covered under Part A and Part B — can include prescription drugs (Part D) and additional benefits such as vision, hearing, and dental — bundled together in one plan. They are health plans run by Medicare-approved private insurance companies. Plans include HMO, PPO, POS and PFFS plans.
